Rabbi Yonatan Gorin became the rabbi of Etz Chaim in 2018. He grew up in the Greater Washington DC area.
Rabbi Gorin is a musmach of Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, where he also earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Talmudic Law. In addition to the rabbinate, Rabbi Gorin is continuing to pursue his formal training in healthcare chaplaincy at Newbridge on the Charles. He started his training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. Before coming to Etz Chaim, Rabbi Gorin was a data specialist at Ner Israel Rabbinical College.
His wife, Alison, is an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. They are blessed with two daughters, Yehudis and Shoshana.
